J. Michael Brill & Associates' Canstruction entry into the 3rd Annual Central Pennsylvania Canstruction competition tied for second place for their Beaver Stadium sculpture made from 2,736 cans of Giant Food Stores brand potatoes, butter & green beans, chick & green peas, tuna and chunky chicken noodle soup. Architects, engineers, contractors and students comprise competing teams who design and build structures made entirely from canned goods and structural ingenuity.

All cans that are used to build the structures are donated to local food banks and pantries of Central Pennsylvania.  The results of this year's competition yielded approximately 30,000 cans of food donated to Project S.H.A.R.E. who will distribute them to 216 pantries across Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York and Lycoming counties.  Terri DiBacco of our staff again chaired this regional community service event.

J. Michael Brill & Associates again took top honors at the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors' Annual Conference held in Hershey on January 26, 2009.  Three First Place Awards were presented for Color Topographic Survey, Specialty Presentation and Color Specialty Presentation.  An ALTA/ACSM Survey received Second Place and a Topographic Survey and Subdivsion Plat each received a Third Place Award.
